With sensibility, I strolled around the top. There was no one but me. The boy lied to me beautifully as a gift. I smiled. My eyes were instantly brightened by the openness of the scenery. Behind the tower was a cliff. Below was an unusual telegraph pole with a wire leading to nowhere. The pole looked fragile between the towering cliff and the lofty mountains in the distance. To the south, the Great Wall I had just conquered now seemed far away, and the wild paths I had stepped on were totally invisible. The only perceptible part of the wild Wall seemed to have completely cut me off from the open Wall, and it gave me a feeling that I was standing nowhere. To the west, mountains layered upon mountains, and another section of the wild Great Wall double winded on the mountaintops. The mildly golden sunshine cast a splendid shade of flawless purple mist over the horizon above the endless mountains. It was breathtaking. I took a deep breath. The world had me, and I had the world.
